We stand out from the crowd because we firmly believe that an outdoor activity site should be run by experienced staff who have a genuine passion to deliver a memorable, fun and safe event.

All of our staff are;

  • PVG approved
  • Disclosure Scotland checked

We work hard to select some of the most enthusiastic and friendly people Aberdeenshire has to offer and train them well! Our staff are encouraged to take part in National Events and tournaments and their achievements include;

  • Being the only Tippmann technicians in Scotland (we are THE people other sites send their equipment to when it needs fixed and maintained)
  • Captains of semi-professional paintball teams (including the Scottish Champions Aberdeen Fusion)
  • Becoming fully qualified GNAS (Grand National Archery Society) instructors

To top it all off they are always ready for action and up for a good giggle... whether you fancy playing some bespoke paintball games against them or we ask them to dress up for our annual fundraising event they never fail to impress.

Battle Grounds was estalished in 2006 by a then 17 year old - Gilan. With a real passion for paintball and anything adrenaline fuelled, he built the business from the ground up and his achievements have recently been recognised with an award in the "Grampian Awards for Business Excellence" in the "Spirit of Enterprise" category.

With a focus on providing our customers with the highest quality experience possible, our wee local business has grown organically over the years and so too has the Battle Grounds family.... Hollie, Gilan's wife, came on board in 2009 and we now have a team of over 12 dedicated staff on hand.

Our Venue

Nestled within stunning native woodlands our custom built reception area is the focus of any activity day with us and is the ONLY fully-enclosed reception area at any paintball site in Scotland ensuring your day will be a comfortable one whatever the weather. We also have a private reception area for all of our laser tag groups Our un-rivalled reception area boasts:

  • Male and Female changing rooms
  • Comfortable seating and benches for up to 120 people
  • Equipment store
  • Rogues photo gallery
  • Catering facilities serving mouth-watering 100% Aberdeen Angus Beef Burgers prepared by our professional chef
  • First Aid Station
  • Fully Stocked Shop selling paintballs, pyrotechnics, food and drinks
  • Lockers for storage of valuables
  • The site also boasts a brand new 60 berth car park and toilet facilities.

All of this combined with our complimentary Birthday cakes, Stag and Hen costumes, complimentary photographs of each game day for your group to tag away on Facebook and game viewing area makes Battle Grounds the ultimate venue for your day!

Full Public Liability Insurance

By booking a day with Battle Grounds you are choosing the most experienced site in Aberdeenshire and the only full-time paintball specialist. We are covered by Full Public Liability Insurance and are an accredited member of the UKPSF (the only governing body of paintball in the UK). We pride ourselves on our commitment to continually improve our facilities and equipment and have the highest standards in marker maintenance and upkeep thanks to being the ONLY certified Tippmann Tech Centre in Scotland - we are THE people players turn to for advice about equipment and safety in Scotland which speaks for itself!

Unparalled Safety Record

Rest assured that the only thing more important to us than having a great fun day is having a SAFE one!

We put our 100% safety record down to the following precautions which we take very seriously at Battle Grounds:

  • Custom designed and fully enclosed safe zone
  • Daily safety and maintenance checks of all equipment
  • Use of the latest full face goggles including ear and temple protection
  • Strict site rules prohibiting the removal of goggles outside of the safe zone
  • Strict site rules ensuring markers never enter the safe zone
  • Highly trained staff with a genuine passion for paintball and your safety as their priority
  • Full pre-game safety brief including demonstrations of pyrotechnics and equipment

To top all this off our site manager and senior marshal constantly update our on-site risk assessments and ensure that each and every one of our staff members on site are fully first aid trained. You couldn’t be in safer hands.
